Orvieto
with its ancient histories and brilliant facades, the perfect place to
celebrate a romantic wedding was ready to embrace another couple in the union
of their love together in matrimony. As
the minutes ticked by the young Bride-to-be was happily having the finishing
touches done to her by the hairdresser, make-up artist, mother and bridesmaids
in the beautifully frescoed 15th Century hotel suite room whilst the
eager Groom-to-be, the rest of the family and friends were awaiting her arrival
one of the oldest churches in this beautiful town, which has a magnificent view
overlooking the Umbrian green valleys and hilltops.
Aioffe was
ready and emotional as she walked down the hotel’s staircase and onto the
narrow cobbled roads of Orvieto, where she was welcomed with cheers and
congratulations with admiration from the
curious passer-bys.
The walk to
the Church is a pleasant walk through the narrow and winding roads of the
oldest part of the town, with antique houses which display beautiful romantic
balconies and flowers of every colour you can imagine, relaxing you and
inspiring you with emotions. Below some photos of Marco Miglianti
After walking
for about 200mt, the Bride-to-be arrived at the entrance of the Church, when the
violinist starting playing the music the couple had chosen for the
‘entrance-of-the Bride’, she emotionally walked down the long quaint aisle of
the beautifully frescoed church and greeted all her guests with a smile. David, who was awaiting her at the altar gave
her a loving hug when she reached him.
The Ceremony was beautiful, with the priest talking and emphasizing the
importance of love a couple share and cherish together.
At the end
of the ceremony everyone gathered around within the beautiful Fortress walls
and congratulated the newly-weds, the walls that overlook the beautiful view
was perfect for group photo shots and also the garden nearby the church was a
favourite for the photographer to take some good shots of the whole group. Then it was time to leave the couple to
cherish their moment together alone and to have some photos taken in all the
beautiful spots in Orvieto on their own.
The rest of
the family and guests all made their way to the beautiful restaurant, just
round the corner from the church, where the refreshments, cocktails, aperitifs
and hor d'oeuvres were awaiting them on a Buffet table at the
entrance of the Restaurant.
Once the
Bride and Groom arrived and were welcomed with a heartwarming applause they all
enjoyed each other’s company and each guest found their place at the sit-down
dinner on the terrace of the restaurant with the help of a beautiful Tableau,
displayed at the entrance of the terrace. Once everyone was seated, the bride and groom made their exit from the
restaurant with music and applauses as they came down the stairs to join their
wonderful sit down reception. The
reception and the after-party was magnificent and of course the weather also
played a very important part. Everyone
had a wonderful time dancing in the up-stairs restaurant area to a lively band
and chit-chatting outside on the terrace until early hours of the morn.
This, and
many other weddings celebrated here, in the beautiful Orvieto City has remained
an unforgettable memory to all those who have decided to tie their love-knot
far from home like Aioffe and David.
